The investment will be used for further scaling the Webel platform.

Founded in 2018 by Carlos Estevez Rincon, Guillermo Mateo, and Nacho Tejero Mancho Webel builds an app where clients can search, book, compare, pay, and review home services. Webel offers a SaaS tool (e.g., Calendar, notifications, automated invoice) to manage their services and an algorithm that would compare the professional’s repetition with its peers and reward the most loyal suppliers with higher visibility and a lower commission.

The startup claims, on average, each customer books 8 services a year, which resulted in +75% of their GMV coming from repeat customers. Webel also shares that it has witnessed a 23% monthly growth for 13 consecutive months.

The fresh round was led by Trind Ventures, a seed-stage venture fund focusing on European software startups with a consumer or community component. Its entry tickets are between €100,000 to €1 million and follow-on investments up to 5 million.

The fund is headquartered in Tallinn with the team also in Helsinki and Munich. The investment in Webel is its fourth investment by Fund II and the second investment in Spain. Munich-based Tiburon, business angels like Hugo Arevalo, founder of ThePowerMBA, and investor in Glovo and Playtomic also participated.

Webel will spend the investment to scale its business model and continue to develop Webel’s app for home services.
